In December 2019, my inbox flooded with emails from a mother named Tinur from Indonesia. I thought it would not be a good match for us to work together. Because my Bahasa Indonesia was less than functional and using English to communicate pose a huge challenge.
However, I was touched by her consistent action in teaching her child. She dug up my previous video lessons, and potty trained her son. Seeing that the advice was useful, she kept on asking and I kept on teaching. Whatever I asked of her, she implemented it with flying colors.
In the video, you will see the best parts of our training. There were countless moments when Tinur wanted to give up. Our communication would break down, and her son would scream and shout. As a coach, there wasn't much I could do on the sidelines. But thank God that things are panning out the way it did.
